In 2003, five young recorder players so impressed their teacher at the Barcelona Conservatory with their ensemble playing that he encouraged them to pursue a professional career. B-Five increasingly perfected their harmony and is now one of the most successful ensembles of its kind in the world. Reinforced by the lutenist Sofie Vanden Eynde, the musicians here dedicate themselves to the father-son duo of the same name, Alfonso Ferrabosco senior (1543-1588) and junior (1575-1628), who travelled extensively in Europe and united numerous influences in their colourful music.
