Bride - Serene Fear (2021)

Berlin's Bride concocts a heady mood on 'Serene Fear', deploying ambient tapestries that erupt periodically in an acid bath of white noise and feedback. Like Wolf Eyes jamming with Steve Roach, or Machinefabriek remixing early Godspeed.
There's something pleasingly organic about Bride's fuzzed-aut brand of ambience, focused around guitar and the echo of Manual's criminally underrated "The North Shore" album in its quieter moments, eventually ceding their peaceful elegance to crumbly, overdriven waves of fuzz and whistling squeals.
