Behind The Sky is proud to present ‘Moogmentum’ by Lisa Bella Donna, a stunning and singular expression from an artist that is rapidly gaining international acclaim with her sophisticated and prodigious mastery of modular and analog synthesizers. Released in partnership with and as a fundraiser for The Bob Moog Foundation on it’s 15th anniversary and the second anniversary of the opening of the Moogseum in Asheville, NC, the music on ‘Moogmentum’ carries forward a legacy of exceptional beauty and craftsmanship and speaks to the timeless elegance and possibilities of Moog instruments. Dynamic, emotional, and filmic, this album further establishes Lisa Bella Donna as one of the living masters of synthesis.

"This record is a very special dedication to the life & work of Robert A. Moog. I wanted to tell a story coming from a musician who never had the privilege and pleasure to meet and speak with Bob personally.
Rather a story from someone who started on Moog synthesizers very young, about all of the doors it opened in my music and the way I looked at sound afterward. Bob Moog's work takes us right to the way sound sets the stage for composers of all walks of life. The Moog synthesizer is that instrument. The one instrument that connected musicians and free-thinking artists of sound. All through my early years of working with Moog synthesizers, I would think about Bob's journey and process; how amazing and exciting it must have been dreaming of such far reaching ideas to be so fully realized so quickly. His instruments and his designs have everything to do with the way I compose and realize my own work. To be invited to collaborate on this record with The Bob Moog Foundation is a thing of miracles. It's also another beautiful way to celebrate the opening of the Moogseum, something I was so grateful to be a part of 2 years ago. I am hopeful that this record moves the listener through a series of chapters that gets them in touch with how they first discovered Moog synthesizers and the remarkable impact that they made."

The Bob Moog Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that carries forward the legacy of synthesizer pioneer Bob Moog by inspiring children and adults through the intersection of science, music, and technology. Through it's hallmark educational project, Dr. Bob's SoundSchool, the foundation has educated over 20,000 elementary school students about the science of sound. That work is extended through the newly created Moogseum, an interactive museum located in Asheville, NC, which has welcomed over 10,000 visitors from all over the world since opening in the late spring of 2019. The foundation also stewards a vast collection of historical materials through its preservation work with the Bob Moog Foundation Archives. It's goal is to grow all three of its projects to continue to inspire more people through Bob Moog's indelible legacy.
