Artists 40 years into their career usually don't hit it out of the park but after an 8 year hiatis, Tom Cochrane is definitely back in the game. Feels like he is only in the 5th inning of his career rather than sliding home, keep them comin' Tom ! The Canadian storyteller does it again.

His early southern influences shine through on this one, The Band, JJ Cale, Roy Orbison. Take it Home, it’s a collection of blues, country, roots and gospel - all the music from the South that’s inspired Cochrane over his four-decade career.

Right out of the blocks the upbeat vibes grab you. Track two, "Sunday Afternoon Hang" has me dreaming about those perfect summer days that are not too far off. The first single off the album,"Diamonds" is classic Cochrane.
