Al Kent Presents The Million Dollar Orchestra - Better Days (2007)

The Million Dollar Orchestra is the culmination of several years` worth of work, and a lifetime dedication to disco music on the behalf of Scottish record collector and DJ, Al Kent. Kent`s love of disco was nurtured during his teenage years living in New York City, a love which he would take with him back to Scotland where he set about re-creating the energy and excitement he found in the disco clubs of the big city. Kent opened a club, flew out American DJs, and spread the gospel of the dancefloor in every way that he was able to, eventually creating and maintaining one of the world wide web`s most comprehensive and respected resources on disco music, milliondollardisco.com. Kent`s next step was to go about creating disco music of his own. Bored with simply looping and re-editing existing music, he set about to add live players to the mix. The Million Dollar Orchestra organically fell into place, initially consisting of a simple rhythm section and gradually expanding to a full orchestra featuring a horn section, percussion, strings, and a chorus.
