KAREN DUMONT is a wonderful vocalist/songwriter. Her "Blues Cruise" CD features a mix of R&B, Blues, Jazz, and Funk. Dumont cruises through the different styles of music bringing to mind Etta James & Aretha Franklin. This CD is also loaded with great blues guitar from slingers like Lloyd Jones. I saw Dumont recently with 1960's Rock Group Spanky & Our Gang who she has sang with for years. STOLE THE SHOW!! She was featured regularly singing leads and she tore the roof off the Pasadena/Altadena Theatre. Dumont is a powerhouse vocalist who really brings it!! I know there are a million female blues singers out there, but seeing is believing.. Dumont is the real deal.
