Lucas Delgado is a young pianist and composer born in Barcelona and graduated in Jazz Jazz from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu.
He began his Higher Degree under the tutelage of the established piano genius Marco Mezquida and later was also mentored by Albert Bover and Roger Mas.
He traveled to New York to further his training as a pianist and received lessons from Aaron Parks and Fred Hersch, two pillars of international jazz piano.
He immediately worked intensely on the musical dialogue through the formation of the duo, the format that most caught his attention.
He embarks on different projects co-led with singers Selma Bruna and Clara Fiol, saxophonist Edu Pons and guitarist Publio Delgado, in order not only to explore the performance but also to delve deeper into the field of composition and repairs.
A year before graduating, he allied himself with the talented double bass player Juan Pastor to give voice to a repertoire of 12 original songs that would later become the debut album called "La Punta de l'Iceberg", in which he also collaborated. They work with artists such as Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Darío Barroso and Selma Bruna.
With this project, in addition to receiving great recognition at the state level, it has managed to capture the attention of the prestigious Japanese record label INPARTMAINT INC, with whom they have released an exclusive edition of the album for the Japanese market. "album of the year" by MoreRecords and DiskUnion stores.
The project currently has an extended line-up with the incorporation of the young trombonist and singer Rita Payés, with whom they will record the second studio album live.
