Stranger in Brooklyn was named one of the top 30 jazz fusion records of all time by jazzfusion.com and was a Billboard Magazine pick of the month. This is Zilber's second release as a leader, and the last one he did before leaving New York for the West Coast. It features his New York group of 1988-92 of Rachel Z on keyboards, James Genus on bass and Tommy Igoe on drums, with a guest slot by jazz giant Dave Liebman, who also produced the record.
