Kings of Convenience is an indie folk-pop duo from Bergen, Norway, formed by Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe. The band is known for its delicate tunes, calming voices, intricate and subtle guitar melodies.

Tracks 1 to 7, 10 recorded at Ornkli' Studio in Bergen, Norway between August 1999 and February 2000. Thanks to Laburnum Records who arranged for these recordings to be made. Tracks 8 and 9 recorded in Glasgow, April 1999. No bass guitars were used in the making of this recording. None of the songs here that eventually appeared on Kings Of Convenience - Quiet Is The New Loud are the same versions as on that album.
