Raluca Stirbat - Raluca Stirbat plays Enescu, Silvestri, Constantinescu, Rachmaninoff-Kreisler (2012)

On this CD, the young Romanian pianist Raluca Stirbat mainly presents works by composers from her home country, including a focus on two major compositions by George Enescu, the Suite in D major op. 10 No. 2 and the Sonata in F sharp minor op. 24 No. 1 as well as pieces by Constantin Silvestri and Paul Constantinescu and the virtuoso Rachmaninoff arrangements of Fritz Kreisler's Liebesfreud and Liebesleid. Raluca Stirbat has inspired critics to make comments such as: '...The young lady performed so enchantingly that your breath was taken away in places: refreshingly temperamental, full of internal tension, energetic, with great breath - a musically eminently tasteful performance.' (Leander Hotaki, Badische Zeitung)
