Though Jazz Relaxante is not jazz that challenges a listener or pushes the boundaries of the idiom, it is beautiful record and is delightful to just enjoy and chill to when that's what's called for. I had not been familiar with Fred Ramos' playing previously, but have really enjoyed it. He has a very unique approach to jazz on the nylon-string acoustic guitar. And of course, Alphonso Johnson (bass) and Bob Conti (percussion) are both superb as always. I highly recommend it.
