Karl Stoll and the Danger Zone announce the release of their second album, The Workhouse, featuring 10 original songs by Karl Stoll.

The disc begins with Meet Me in New Orleons, a wild romp down Bourbon Street featuring Crescent City pianist David Torkanowsky. Other songs offer an unexpectedly wide range of blues, soul, rock & roll and Americana.

The title track, Ihe Workhouse, is a deep, dirty blues lament about the haunted. twisted story of the now- defunct District of Columbia prison in Lorton, VA. On Great Rain, the band pays its respects to the late John Prine With Karl's son Jordan Stoll on drums. Stoll memorializes his late father with He Was My Dad, featuring Paul Bell (The Nighthawks) on slide guitar. Karl Stoll and the Danger Zone have been playing on the Washington DC area circuit for many years. The band features Karl Stoll on guitar and lead vocals, John "Mojo" Dickson on harmonica, Brian Alpert on drums (Bob Margolin, Tom Principato, Jimmy Thackery), and Dean Dalton on bass.
