The last one is a hardhitter album. It counts and then it's otherwise about keeping up, both as a musician and a listener. Peter Erskine sits mature behind the drums, while Jacob Christoffersen on piano and Johannes Weidenmüller on bass follow closely. The always well-laid Christoffersen gives Peter Erskine a comb, for the now absent hair splendor on Erskine's own Twelwe. It spreads to Koppel, who lifts the game on the soprano saxophone. The record is an attempt at jazz as our father made it. It is with a quality that promises something and so still can not quite keep it.
