Kurt Sanderling - The Soviet Years 1947-1956 (2010) [6CD Box Set]

Early recordings here, from the Soviet Years 1948 to 1956 with Sanderling conducting mainly the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra.
Also here are recordings of Maria Yudina and Jacob Zak playing Beethoven 4th PC and Brahms 1st PC.
These are very much "historical" recordings and all are in mono. However anyone interested in the Soviet music scene under Stalin and of Sanderlings development under that regime, should listen to this fine box set.
