It is no coincidence that 5 x Vuust has chosen Paul Simon as inspiration for their first release. The songs have been a common source of inspiration and followed the family from childhood, so what was more natural than meeting around interpretations and arrangements of Simon in the element where all five belong - jazz.
The concert is also the release of 5 x Vuust's first album Further to Fly, recorded in January this year.
5 x Vuust has together appeared on over 190 albums and each performed in a sea of musical contexts. As a jazz singer, Clara Vuust has released three albums, most recently Before You Walk Away, and has garnered rave reviews for her crystal clear voice and distinguished interpretations. Saxophonist Christian Vuust is known for his intense work with the Nordic tone in his music. Bassist Peter Vuust belongs to the elite of jazz musicians and is also Denmark's leading brain researcher in music. Peter's sons Frederik and Mikkel, on piano and drums, respectively, are both part of the young forward-thinking generation of jazz musicians in Denmark and are studying at conservatories in Denmark and New York.
