Teddy Edwards - Heart & Soul (1992)

With pianist Gerry Wiggins exclusively playing organ, this is a slightly unusual date for tenor saxophonist Teddy Edwards; bassist Leroy Vinnegar and drummer Milt Turner complete the quartet. Edwards is in typically fine form on four diverse blues, his "No Regrets" and the standard "Secret Love." Even if Wiggins was not the most inspiring organist around (although he was quite competent), Teddy's playing makes this CD reissue worthwhile.
