"I thought long and hard about the program of this evening ... new versions of titles had to be included in the program that can also be found on my earlier CDs," said Martin Pyrker after the concert in the Mozarthaus Vienna. It's about numbers from his musical role models from the past century, but also about his own compositions. To show that his playing and interpretation has also changed over the years.
And of course there is also "A Father's Dream" - dedicated to his daughter Sabine, who began accompanying her father on the drums at the age of 13. So also in 2006 in Cincinnati (USA) at an open air concert. And Sabine proves that on "Keep On Drummin'" boogie-woogie works without Bösendorfer... Speaking of family: "Blues For Valerie", "The Spirit Of Luisa" and "Sandro 7.11." are dedicated to the grandchildren.
