Massimiliano Biondi - StraDiBo live "La Casa del Jazz" Roma 2021 (2022)

From the understanding of four young musicians from different backgrounds, united by a passion for jazz, the Check Mates project was born, with the aim of creating original fusion music that pays tribute to Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau, Yellowjackets, Thelonious Monk, Esbjorn Svensson Trio and Ennio Morricone.

The Massimiliano Biondi Trio offers a repertoire of original music where timbre research, harmonic modernity, groove and melodic simplicity are the protagonists. Born in 2016, within the Saint Louis College of Music, the trio has become known over the last few years on the Italian jazz scene, participating in numerous Jazz Festivals such as "Eddie Lang jazz festival", "Festival Village Celimontana", "Jazz Terrasa Festival, Barcelona ”and others. After the forced break dictated by the lockdown, the trio is ready to return to the stage presenting new compositions written for the occasion and accompanied by a special guest: Francesco Bearzatti on sax.
