At the origins of ZOPPA, there is Spain for Sylvie Paz, singer and composer and Greece for Kalliroi Raouzeou, pianist, singer and composer. There is also Marseille and the Mediterranean where the two artists asserted their talent, their voice, their know-how, their creativity and their complicity. With this first album, TOPOGRAPHIA - twelve original compositions, sung in Spanish, Portuguese, Greek and French, Sylvie Paz and Kalliroi Raouzeou have built an original musical universe where their intense and sensual voices mingle to create an "echo-poetic" carried by themes of exile and loneliness, love and hope. The poetry of Neruda or Pessoa is never far away in this subtle melodic combination with the accents of jazz - Mediterranean which heckles syncopations.
