Anna Roemer - Azure (2022)

On AZURE, Anna Roemer's first album under her own name, she explores the musical possibilities of both acoustic and electric guitar, by weaving together evocative tones and elegant sound scenography, using her effect pedals. Saxophonist Ned Ferm participates on four songs and producer Rasmus Juncker plays synthesizers on two, which gives an extra dimension to the already heartfelt and sparkling arrangements. The music is large, expansive soundscapes with a production that occasionally unfolds in unconventional and delightfully unexpected directions. On AZURE, listeners witness Roemer's patience, strength and vulnerability as a solo artist. With her unique and refined musical language, the 12 tracks are presented in an artfully crafted feast for the ears and the inner eye.
