Paula Gardin is a Canadian Jazz singer/songwriter from the Toronto area. She is a passionate and powerful performer whose music reflects her life experiences. Her latest album, “Two of Cups”, after the tarot card symbolizing love, was released December 9th, 2014 at the Jazz Bistro in Toronto to a sold out audience, which led to an encore performance on January 29th, 2015. The CD is an ode to being loved and being left, with five angsty and emotional originals, and seven romantic, yet deep classic jazz tunes. The CD features Nancy Walker on piano, Kieran Overs on bass, Kirk MacDonald on saxophone and Steve Heathcote on drums.
Recorded at the Juno award-winning Drive Shed in Toronto, and engineered by Juno award-winner John “Beetle” Bailey, “Two of Cups” is already garnering airplay on JazzFM91.1 radio in Toronto and several stations in the United States and Europe.
