Danny Green - Let the Music Happen (2026) [Hi-Res]

Pianist and composer Danny Green, who has released six albums as a bandleader, has recorded his first solo piano album, Let the Music Happen. The idea came from a simple observation: his best playing happens when he plans nothing and lets the music find its own way. The material was recorded over two days and includes recent compositions, favorite standards, and a freely reimagined version of The Beatles’ “A Day in the Life.” The program moves from intimate, inward concentration to bursts of virtuosic invention, retaining warmth and a strong sense of personality. Critics see Green first of all as a melodist whose tunes sound both fresh and familiar, as well as a gifted composer and storyteller who weaves fantasies
