Marco "Ray" Mazzoli is a blues musician, a singer and a university professor of economics... yes, that's right, you have read it properly... Ray plays and performs as much as he can in his spare time from his activity of professor and scholar... With one of his previous band (the "Biasablues" from Bologna), in 2003 Ray took part into the TV programme "Shownet", broadcasted in the Italian National TV channel "RAI 3" and in the Italian Satellite TV channel "RaiNews24". Since 2005, with two more bands (the"Mustang Blues Band" and the "Last Mile Blues Band") he took part into several editions of the "Piacenza Blues Festival" and in 2008, for one year he played piano and Hammond organ in the "Nicolini Sound 95 Gospel Choir". Among his recent collaborations, we like to mention the one with the Family Style Blues Band and the Limido Brothers, the one with the legendary bluesman James Harman (that Ray joined in his 2010 Italian tour together with the Family Style Blues Band) and, of course, the one with Mattia Cigalini, emerging young musician in the International Jazz scene, who played, as special gues, in the two CD's by Marco "Ray" Mazzoli, "Happy to Play the Blues" and "Live (and alive) blues".
