For this very slight George Segal/Jacqueline Bisset comedy-mystery, Mancini wrote a charming little theme tune in the style of Bach or Mouret, setting the classical European air quite nicely, thank you. It's not usually included in his compilations or regarded much at all, but it deserves another listen. The rest of this pleasant album continues with the faux-classical theme, with Mancini alluding to Bizet, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, and Handel, as well as the usual -- for a mystery -- suspenseful, haunting orchestral rumblings.
