Bruneau, is one of the best jazz trumpet talents to emerge in recent years. The New York-based trumpeter and flugelhorn player is a Hartt School of Music graduate who studied with jazz master Jackie McLean. Bruneau has recorded with Nat Reeves, Steve Davis, and Larry Willis, and toured extensively with trombone great Curtis Fuller. "Bright Idea", recorded live at Smalls Jazz Club in New York City in March 2014, is a hard swinging session featuring the young trumpeter’s fluid lines and robust tone. “ Features six budding jazz stars in New York City playing with their mentor and teacher Steve Davis.
