Led by Cris van Beuren, “Fuxé” is a trio-based group which usually presents itself as a quartet or quintet with invited guests. The group was formed in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 2005 as an experimental jam-band and jazz-rock group. They have recorded two albums: “Reptil”(2006) and “Fuxé”(2009), and between 2005 and 2010 presented themselves in major festivals, concert halls and jazz venues throughout the country, as well as an international festival in Cuba in 2010. América Latina Jazz Network in 2008 wrote about the group: “Fuxé is currently one of the most fresh and original proposals of jazz in Mexico…”. Members of the band have included Ricardo Pompa (kybd), Omar Peralta (trumpet for “Earth, Wind and Fire”), Dan Zlotnik (sax, “Los Dorados”), Gil Cervantes (trumpet, “Troker”), Germán Bringas (trumpet), among others.

In 2011 the group entered a 10 year pause in productions and concerts, maintaining only sporadic presentations throughout these years. The group reunited in January 2022 for a new more jazz oriented recording, joined by pianist Samuel Martinez Herrera and French saxophonist Adrian Chaillou, with special guests Todd Clouser (guitar and vocals), and Citlalli Toledo (vocals) appearing on 3 tracks. The trio core of Fuxé is made up by Omar Vazquez (bass), David Caspeta (drums) and Cris van Beuren (guitar and compositions).
