Best known for her disco era chart hits "Captain Boogie" and "Super Sweet", vocalist extraordinaire Wardell Piper returns to the scene with her first full-length offering since her 1979 debut album bowed on the legendary Midsong label. Produced and arranged by noted Philly Soul impresario Butch Ingram and with backing from the always tight Ingram family band, “Spell” features eleven standout tracks including the lead single, “Keep Living”, a cut that is on its way to becoming an anthem in the LGBT community. The album also features fine renditions of Al Jarreau‘s “After All”, Chuck Mangione’s “Look To The Children, as well the title track, a song Blue Magic made a dent with all the way back in 1972.
