Boss Sounds, also called " Classic Skinhead Reggae", refers to the musical current of Jamaica's ska, which was adopted by British working-class skinheads as an expression of its subculture. Most of the pieces are produced for the dance halls and are accordingly upbeat. In a unique box set, Trojan is now releasing some of the most sought-after 7inches of this era. Special attention was paid to the quality of the presentation: newly mastered from the best possible source, pressed onto high-quality vinyl, the covers are authentically modeled on the originals. Compiled under the supervision of Michael De Koningh, who is known as a specialist in Boss Reggae, the singles are now available again at a normal price, as they are traded on exchanges for three-digit sums. New liner notes and an elaborately designed box round off the package.
