This album delves into the many ways various instrumental lines and melodic materials can work in the context of an improvised framework. Often times, the ornamentation becomes the foundation and vice versa. This type of flexibility is one of the consistent elements in my music. On this particular album, the idea becomes spotlighted to a certain extent, hence, the title.
