Waveform - Dim Sum (2013)

After the album Waveform from 2009, released for Aquarius Records, the Split band Waveform released another one, but for Croatia Records. In the meantime, there have been slight changes in the line-up - bass guitarist Nena Miškec was replaced by Ante Jurinović, and saxophonist Dražen Bogdanović played only two songs on this occasion, as a guest. The other members are guitarist Miro Alduk, keyboardist Ivan Božičević and drummer Jan Ivelić. In two performances they are joined by keyboardist Kristijan Terzić, one of the few Croatian musicians who leads a fusion band. Namely, he is the player who perfectly fits into the musical concept of Waveform - a combination of jazz and rock music. Alduk is the most represented author on this CD as well, and Božičević also contributed with two compositions. These are works that refer to a genre that was started in the early seventies of the last century, but fresh and appropriate for today's musical moment. In a well thought-out musical story, with head and tail, beautiful themes and skillful solos, electronics and acoustics, fast tempos and ballads, furious and calm performances alternate, all with the aim of creating an interesting and exciting musical achievement.
