Minako Yoshida's ninth album, the last of her funk era.
A popular City Pops album that was Minako Yoshida's final work in her funk era. The opening album title track "LIGHT'N UP" is a gorgeous fusion disco decorated with gorgeous horn arrangements. In addition, from Minako's classic "Jeek ni Yoru Akari" along with "Koi wa Ryuusei" and David Sanborn's saxophone sobbing "Wind", to my personal favorite "Reflection", slow to mid, A masterpiece with no ups and downs.
