Japanese-Scottish producer and pianist Sonedo is pioneering a hybrid sound within the UK music scene by fusing jazz improvisation with rap, grime, and electronic club music. Based in Glasgow, the artist serves as a vital bridge between Scotland's jazz and hip-hop communities, acting as the musical director for BEMZ and collaborating with Rebecca Vasmant. His creative approach integrates live instrumentation with MC vocals, live keyboard performances alongside DJs, and cross-genre production spanning house and drum & bass. Having earned critical acclaim from major broadcasters and jazz development awards, Sonedo continues to expand a distinctive style rooted in both traditional jazz frameworks and contemporary British underground culture.
