Dan Trudell - Fishin' Again: a Tribute to Clyde Stubblefield & Dr. Lonnie Smith (2023)

These Chicago based musicians performed and recorded with the late great drummer of James Brown fame, Clyde Stubblefield, as the group"The B3 Bombers" till his passing. This album consists of orignal compositions and arrangements by organist Dan Trudell that were never recorded with Clyde. Dana Hall skillfully takes over Clydes role in this project which was recorded old school in one room with first and second takes. Included is a live bonus track of Dr. Lonnie Smith's tune "Scream". Dr. Lonnie Smith was a great influence and friend of Dan's and passed away the night before this recording. Hence the dedication was extended to him as well as Clyde. We hope you enjoy!
