After Joscho Stephan and Matthias Strucken were already in the studio together in 2016 and recorded a more traditional CD entitled "Gypsy Vibes", they embark on new musical paths with the present album "Travels". Previously committed to the traditional styles of gypsy jazz (Django Reinhardt) and blues/swing (Milt Jackson), the ensemble has recently expanded its musical spectrum with fusion pieces, pop tunes and Latin songs. The focus is still on vibraphone and solo guitar, but the band sound is modernized with marimba, glockenspiel, western and nylon string guitars, percussion instruments and effects. The rhythms have become broader and more complex; Own compositions and newly arranged classics appear and alternate.
