Label for the British music magazine MOJO, generally for the issuance of a free disc in each monthly magazine. These magazine compilations are always best when they sample from a classic label, and Chess is certainly one of the best. Some key tracks from Ramsey Lewis, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Rotary Connection, Sonny Boy Williamson, Etta James, and the best of all, the mighty "Spoonful" by Howlin' Wolf. It's got nothing on any well-curated set like Chess Soul or Chess Jazz discs but for a free giveaway, it's pretty damn fine.
