"Electric Zoo is a dynamic power trio akin to 70's Classic Rock music, combining elements from Psychedelic, Hard Rock, Funk, Blues and Jazz. At InDNegev Festival 2012The band’s music is played with a warm, live and retro sound, a tight rhythm section and ground-shaking energy. The group was formed in 2009 by frontman and lead guitarist Gal Davidson and now consists of Davidson (who also writes the band’s music and lyrics along with lyricist Alon Katz), bassist Yuval Gesser and drummer Amir Steinberg. After two years of writing and rehearsing, the group started performing in Tel Aviv’s local bars and within one year alone has managed to become one of the most talked about Rock bands in Israel’s Indie music scene, heralded for leaving its mark in every venue it plays (Reeperbahn Festival, InDnegev, Ye’arot Menashe, MAD Music and Israel’s biggest Rock clubs.) The band’s debut album was recorded and mixed by Uri “Mixmonster” Wertheim (The Apples) as part of the HaRaKe label. The anticipation around this debut has garnered interest and invitations from clubs and records labels around the globe."
