And here's another slightly irritating Pointer Sisters compilation. Subtitled "I'm So Excited" (just to make sure you remember exactly what the Pointer Sisters were known for), The Very Best of the Pointer Sisters revisits roughly the same late-'70s to mid-'80s phase that most other Pointers compilations cover. Released by BMG throughout various parts of Europe, it contains all the stuff you'd expect and possibly need -- "I'm So Excited," "Slow Hand," "Jump (For My Love)," "Neutron Dance," "Fire," "Goldmine," "He's So Shy," "If You Wanna Get Back Your Lady" -- and several others. There are plenty of other sets floating around that do the same thing, and some others fail miserably. This one does a perfectly serviceable job. © Andy Kellman
