This is the first self-produced album by pianist Akira Naito, who presides over the Sonorite label. The Steinway at the Otaru Marine Hall is filled with the poetic reverberations of Fauré, Séverinck, Montpauw, and others. This album was created "off the shelf" in the remaining time of the recording session of Yusei Kamiya, for which Naito served as the director, and its unrestrained play with the instruments creates a pleasant atmosphere. The album artwork was drawn by Chihiro Honma (a poet and painter), inspired by Naito's performance, and depicts the shadow of the earth before sunrise.
