Ilaria Pilar Patassini - Terra senza terra (2023)

Ilaria Pilar Patassini's new album "Terra senza terra" is out on Friday 5 May. After the preview presentation of the disc held last February at the Casa del Jazz in Rome and with four unreleased albums widely recognized by critics behind her, the singer-songwriter and performer Ilaria Pilar Patassini consolidates the partnership with the guitarist, arranger and artistic producer Federico Ferrandina, already present in the previous album "Luna in Ariete".

Terra senza Terra is made up of eleven modern, original and conscious songwriters, which from the Italian musical tradition move towards jazz and classical, chamber music writing lines. A boat that touches many ports without stopping in any, with a route that goes in the direction of freedom, self-determination and the happy claim of a vast containment of multitudes of Whitmanian memory. The album is a poetic and musical manifesto that gives voice to the multifaceted gaze of the artist who passes from self-analysis to the story of everyday life. In the tracks of the album Ilaria Pilar Patassini smells and indulges the winds of change, in an ideal axis that unites personal events with those of her time and universal sharing: feeling nomadic, finding a home among the waves, living the liquid and impermanent society but also the gratification of finally being able to lay bare the conflicts that the patriarchy has sewn to measure on the status of being a woman; and then the elaboration of a mourning, the vocation for fluid elements, the coincidence of the end and the beginning of love stories. Terra senza Terra is a voice that sings to the ears of an entire society made up of schemes increasingly dictated by the power of a few and by a progressive dematerialization which however collides and coincides with the need for empathy and exercise of the senses, on the one hand thus removing the ground from under our feet and on the other giving us humanity and rebellion back, uniting everyone in a single condition: that of landless earthlings. "Terra senza Terra" was anticipated by the single and video Niagara on April 12th.
