Opus Trio - In Studio (2023) Hi Res

Originally conceived by legendary tour manager Nico Scotti, Opus Trio features Brixton born Ralph Moore on Tenor Saxophone (Horace Silver, Roy Haynes, Darrel Grant, Freddie Hubbard, Gene Harris), NYC based Drummer Anthony Pinciotti (Pat Metheny, Hush Point, Jeremy Steig, Randy Brecker, Gary Bartz) and from Puglia, the aptly named Giuseppe Bassi on stand-up Bass (Schema Quartet, La Banda degli Ornesti, Street Jazz Unit).

Created specifically for an Italian tour scheduled for November 2022 it was during rehearsals for these dates that the band members knew that something special was happening and the idea for the In Studio sessions and album was born. The tracks how the depth and breadth of the musicianship on the album with 4 originals by Giuseppe Bassi, two by Ralph Moore and a fantastic reimagining of Roy Ayers "Fire Weaver" and Lee Morgan "Ceora"In Studio releases on 9th June and really is a must have album in your Jazz collection.
