The musical duo Hojsak & Novosel , consisting of top instrumentalists Tihomir Hojsak and Filip Novosel , released their first live album "Duckling Soup" . It is a collaboration with one of the best Bulgarian musicians, Theodosii Spassov , Grammy winner , according to Newsweek magazine, one of the most talented musicians in all of Eastern Europe. Spassov continues the series of musicians with whom Hojsak & Novosel collaborated during their career, from the Zagreb Philharmonic and HRT's Tambura Orchestra, through Vlatko Stefanovski and Miroslav Tadić, to Gibonni, Nene Belan and Elvis Stanić.

A unique combination of tambourine, double bass and kavala it fit perfectly into the original songs of this trio, but also the arrangements of traditional Croatian and Bulgarian songs that are on this album. The material was recorded by Ivan Pešorda on July 2, 2022 in the "Ivana Brlić Mažuranić" Concert Hall in Slavonski Brod on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this Slavonian temple of culture. Filip Vidović from Matterhorn Studio did the mixing and mastering, and together with Hojsak & Novoselo, he also signed the production. Great art design was done by Davor Schunk.

This is the first live album of Hojsak & Novosel , and it was born from the idea to record one of the concerts during the summer tour last year, even though they did not have a rehearsal with Spass at all.
"It's always difficult to record material that you didn't play together at first, but after listening to the material from Slavonski Brod, we said it had to go on CD, and six months later we're at Tvornica promoting our fifth album," said Hojsak, and Novosel added that the collaboration and the friendship with Spassov has been going on since the first album on which he was a guest. "It's phenomenal for us to work with him, he's a great musician, but above all a great man , " Novosel pointed out.
and added that they are extremely satisfied with their career so far, which is sufficiently confirmed by numerous booked dates, especially abroad. New concerts in America are planned this year , as well as going to India and Sweden . Of course, there are also many performances in the region, from Croatia to Macedonia and Montenegro .
