STUNNING TRIPLE DISC SET OF RARE TRAFFIC RADIO SESSIONS & LIVE BROADCASTS • Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Dave Mason, and Chris Wood met at a club in Aston, Birmingham in the mid-1960s. At the time Winwood was performing with The Spencer Davis Group, but when he quit in April ‘67, the quartet formed Traffic. • Following non-album singles ‘Paper Sun’, ‘Hole In My Shoe’ and ‘Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush’ all becoming hits, Traffic enjoyed continued success with their debut album Mr. Fantasy. Dave Mason soon left the band, although briefly returned for a few recording sessions for their second LP, the eponymous Traffic. The band dissolved in 1969 following the departure of Steve Winwood to form the short-lived supergroup Blind Faith. • After the break-up of Blind Faith, Winwood began focusing on a solo career, bringing in Capaldi and Wood to contribute. This led to a renewal of the Traffic project, resulting in 1970’s John Barleycorn Must Die and The Low Spark of the High Heel Boys in ’71, including much of the band’s best loved material to date.

This triple CD set includes material from across Traffic’s career, with DISC ONE featuring sublime radio sessions recorded by the band and broadcast by BBC’s Radio One during the 1967-1968 period.

DISC TWO continues with two superb FM broadcasts from Stockholm, Sweden, also from the years 1967 and 1968 respectively.

DISC THREE concludes the set with a stunning FM broadcast recorded on 26th January 1973 at San Francisco’s Winterland Arena during Traffic’s second tenure as a band, a few short years before they disbanded once more.
