The album contains archival recordings made for Polish Radio in 1983-84. This is another album presenting the achievements of the outstanding Polish flutist Grzegorz Olkiewicz, a versatile soloist and chamber musician with an extremely rich repertoire. He recorded Baroque flute sonatas together with two other outstanding artists, the cellist Andrzej Bauer and the pianist Waldemar Malicki - this time on the harpsichord. The musicians formed the Polish Trio in the years 1982-88, giving numerous concerts and making many archival recordings.

The pieces included on the album show the different attitude of three Baroque masters - Bach, Handel and Telemann - to the matter of flute sonatas. Fantastic voices of individual instruments, contrasts in tempo and mood, masterful polyphonies and virtuoso figurations create a rich picture of masterpieces of this genre. The musicians play modern instruments in 20th century costumes, achieving the effect of baroque lightness and improvisation.
