In 2011, Jazzbanditt received rave reviews for her debut album "Nilsen/Breistein/Stemkens/Skrove". In the following time, they were not lazy. They spent a year as musicians in Paris, participated in international projects and releases, and also gave a number of live performances both abroad and at the largest jazz festivals in Norway. In addition, the acoustic trio has gone through a persistent and painstaking songwriting process and is now releasing their second album "Jazzbanditt 2.0".
Jazzbanditt 2.0 is something new. It's about taking the acoustic trio to the extreme. The musicians have very different musical backgrounds, but individually they have always focused on creativity and freedom. Using this common platform, they took their naive curiosity and whimsical whims seriously. A strong emphasis on melodies and arrangements, as well as thoughtful processing of instruments made "Jazzbanditt 2.0" a very diverse album, an album that ranges from lyrically beautiful and stunning to sonically complex.
"...an album in which musicality is performed with considerable skill and authority" (Terje Mosnes - Dagbladet)
"They are both powerful and lyrical performers of string art... With Jazzbanditt 2.0 (the band) takes their acoustic trio to new heights." (Roald Helgheim – Dagsavisen)
"Improvisations flow easily and naturally, with confident phrasing, the ensemble is well balanced. Recommended!" (Petter Petterson – "Budstikke" Romsdal)
"A refreshing band that dares to challenge at the level of harmony and instruments!" (Svein Magnus Furu - Jazznytt)
"An extremely durable disc, almost painfully beautiful!" (Thorstein Davidsen – Romerikesblad)
