Born in Tokyo on November 1, 1972. While she was studying at Sophia University, she attracted attention for her excellent songwriting ability. She debuted in 1993 with the single "Hayaku Isode". She began to be in the limelight with her album ``Strength'' in 1995, and the following year, in 1996, she achieved huge hits with her single ``Done Yori Suki ni ni'' and her album ``Hour Glass.'' She gained charismatic popularity as the ``90s love guru'' by portraying the heartbreaking love of a young woman living in the city. Since then, she has been active as a popular singer-songwriter.
