Michele Perruggini - Attraverso la nebbia (2015)

An ensemble led by drummer Michele Perruggini which features some of the best Italian musicians, almost entirely from the Apulian area. All this gives an inevitable Mediterranean flavor, thanks also to excellent compositions with a strong melodic and lyrical character, to the care of the arrangements and to the fresh sound. The disc contains twelve songs that are difficult to “label” as they cross over into various genres. Clearly the improvisational matrix of the solo interventions enrich the listening which in itself is very enjoyable and direct.

The ultimate goal was to make a very “heartfelt” album, intimate, evocative and passionate. The only real protagonist is the Music, not the musicians and even less the stylistic canons.
