All but two of these 14 tracks were covers of mid-'60s American soul favorites like "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'," "Sunny," and "Rescue Me," in which Schroeder bled most of the funk (and vocals) from the originals to craft instrumentals that were at once more tolerable to elderly ears than the originals, but still mildly rhythmic and danceable. It sounds silly now -- it sounded silly then. But that hasn't prevented the album from being reissued in its entirety on Sequel's Space Age Soul, which adds seven other (rather more interesting) tracks that Schroeder recorded in the '60s.
