in 2022 The National Association of Organists released the CD "Organ Ship. The great works of C.Franck for the organ." "Organ Ship. Didieji C. Franck's works for the organ" is a double album in which Klaipėda's St. Francis of Assisi Chapel organ. St. Francis of Assisi Chapel in Klaipėda was consecrated in 2012. The elder brother of the Franciscan monastery, Fr. Sigitas Benediktas Jurčys OFM, in order to open the new house of worship to culture as widely as possible, undertook an ambitious idea - to install a pipe organ of exceptional design, state-of-the-art technical parameters and excellent sound quality in the chapel. One of the oldest organ manufacturers in Europe - the Austrian company "Rieger-Orgelbau" (since 1845) was chosen for the construction of the instrument. The result exceeded expectations: an organ in the shape of a ship's sail - unique, rich in rich voices, forming an inseparable ensemble of maritime nature with the interior of the chapel. In commemoration of one of the most prominent 19th century on the 200th anniversary of music creators César Franck (1822-1890) - the most significant organ composer after Johann Sebastian Bach, organist Balys Vaitkus recorded all twelve of C. Franck's great works for organ in the album: Grand Symphony, Prelude, Fugue and Variation, Prayer, Pastorale , Cantabile, Heroic Play, Finale, two Fantasias and three Chorales. The total duration of the recording is about 150 minutes. The album was recorded in 2022. August 23-26 The 24-page CD booklet contains information about C. Francko's organ work (the booklet is prepared in Lithuanian and English).
