Self Portrait - Fishes Were Everywhere (2024)

Self Portrait was born in Parma in 2015 with the specific intent of creating only original pieces.
Thanks to the musicians' multiple influences, which range from prog to metal, from the electronic sounds of the 80s to funk and psychedelia, they have been able to create songs that cannot easily be classified into a specific genre which benefit from complete expressive freedom and are untied by compositional constraints dictated by pre-established style canons.
From these considerations the name of the band was born: Self Portrait.
A musical self-portrait of the musicians who, through the filter of music, have chosen to express themselves in the first person to try to give back to the listener all their passion and creativity.
