Climax Blues Band (originally Climax Chicago Blues Band) is a British rock band formed in Stafford, England, in 1968 and performing in its early years roots blues rock, later a more mainstream, softened version of it. The ensemble, whose original lineup included guitarists Peter Haycock and Derek Holt, keyboardist Arthur Wood, bassist Richard Jones, drummer George Newsome and (late) vocalist Colin Cooper, released 17 studio albums and gained worldwide fame in 1976 with the hit "Couldn 't Get It Right".
